Open-Source Tool for Analyzing American Political, Economic, and Social Characteristics

The goal of my open-source government data project is to make public data easier to navigate by providing modern visualizations, a thoughtful assortment of public resources, and organized, transparent downloadable data. Researchers and businesses have routinely leveraged public data to reach new social insights and make smarter business decisions; I hope to help these groups by creating a superior tool for analyzing all kinds of American characteristics.

About

Open-Source Tool for Analyzing American Political, Economic, and Social Characteristics

This application uses data from a unique, previously unutilized dataset collected by the United States Census Bureau in July 2009. While the bureau does offer some tools for exploring their collected statistics, their tools are often dated, limited in functionality, and closed source (or proprietary software).

The data that powers this app can be found in on the US Census Bureau's website in its raw form here. But I do provide a more intuitively organized version of the data in a single file freely available to download with the button below.
